You are highly motivated, a high achiever, and you expect a lot from yourself. This has led to second guessing your actions, things you’ve said, and your intentions. It is hard to shut off your mind. It feels like your thoughts are on over drive. This is especially true when thoughts intrude into your mind that scare you or don’t feel like you. Hi, I’m Lauren

As a human first and a therapist second, I understand how limiting and debilitating anxiety can feel. It is a deeply uncomfortable experience that is personal for each person. I have personal experiences of how disruptive anxiety and intrusive thoughts can be to your life. I understand the rapid fire of questions and self-doubt: “what if I fail?” “What if I didn’t make the right choice?” “What if this makes me sick?” “What if I lose a loved one?”

As someone with personal experiences with anxiety, I became passionate in supporting other young adults and adults to learn to navigate these thoughts and emotions in healthy, value aligned ways. Above all else I offer a person-centered approach in each session with a focus on primarily utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) to support and empower you to work towards your goals. I provide a warm and validating environment. In session with me, you will feel welcomed, valued, heard, accepted and empowered to grow in how you relate to anxiety.
